Damn, only 17 strips in the period of one year? If I had an audience, they'd probably be very sore with me. To celebrate this "milestone", I present part one of my first ever "mini-series".

Perhaps I should explain the ring announcer mentioning who he "isn't", as opposed to "is". I've discovered that Michael Buffer, the tan man who is often hired to introduce high profile sporting events, has "servicemarks and copyrights" over his signature phrase. If anyone who isn't Michael Buffer were to use the words "let's", "get", "ready", "to", and "rumble" in succession can get their asses sued. I'm probably treading copyright just by illustrating that point. Oh, and close parodys, such as "Let's get ready to crumble" or "Are you ready to rumble", are also somehow under his umbrella. He should be marketed for his distinct voice and how strapping he looks in his white tux, not for his catchphrase. You'd think the guy was bigger than the main event. He made a big business for himself simply for saying five words. Howard Finkel is a bigger deal than you, Buffer. How many Wrestlemanias have you ever announced for? But maybe I should take a cue from Mikey Buff. As of today, nothing special is allowed to happen on August 15th except for the anniversary of my strip.

Oh yeah, let's actually talk about this strip's content. The idea was sprung from another pair of friends who climbed into a ring at a low-key boxing show and put the gloves to each other. I wondered what would happen if my own best friend and I were to try to pulverize each other's grey matter all in the name of friendly competition, but I figured it'd be safer to do it from a comic perspective. There was a reason I was always picked last in gym class. As you can see, I've omitted drawing nipples on the characters. This is a family comic. One where grooms get decapitated during their wedding ceremonies.

And that's just the way it is.
